Olhausen’s 1979 Chevy Malibu

Long-time friend of the show, Brian Olhausen from Olhausen GameRooms, has been busy working on his Motorz TV-sponsored 1979 Chevy Malibu. While he’s not busy working on the family business, Brian can be found racing at the Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, California. He purchased this ride specifically for the purpose of racing on the weekends.

His green and yellow beast sports a 350 small block engine, a 750 CFM Holley carb, and a 3-speed transmission that pumps out approximately 400 HP and rips up the track with 1/4 mile times in the 11.50’s on its Goodyear racing slicks.

The Olhausen stable of race cars also includes Butch Olhausen’s 1967 Plymouth Satellite that brings in 11.77 @ 118 MPH with its 496 big block Chrysler 3-speed engine, and Joe “Dragster” Glenwinkel‘s blown alcohol dragster that achieves 7.11 at 191 MPH with its 6.71 Littlefield Blower, 2-speed lightning bolt.

We’ll be bringing you coverage from the drags in an upcoming episode, featuring these three race rigs so stay tuned!
