Episode Notes

Welcome to our 60th episode!

Eibach Springs has been making high-quality suspension products for over 30 years. Originally European based, the company expanded to the U.S. in the 80’s to manufacture products for American high performance vehicles. We’ve lowered a S917 Mustang on the show before, but the difference is that this kit offers an adjustable ride height so you can adjust all four corners from 0.08″ to a full 3 inches, allowing you to compensate for varying weight distribution.

In this episode, Chris shows you how to install Eibach’s Pro-Street S performance handling kit on our grabber orange 2008 Ford Mustang GT. The part numbers we used are:

35101.711 PRO-STREET Coil-Over Kit (Height Adjustable Only)
35101.320 ANTI-ROLL-KIT (Both Front and Rear Sway Bars)

When he’s done lowering the Mustang, Chris shows you how to install really cool LED tail lights from Hella on a 2008 Toyota Tundra as well as a 2009 Chevy Silverado 1500 truck. Both installations are brain-dead easy, but the Tundra does take quite a bit of extra work as replacing the 3rd brake light requires you to lower the headliner inside the vehicle, and there are some very tight areas to work in.

In the Partz segment, Chris talks about two products available from the Sears Blue Tool Crew, including a Craftsman 8-inch bench grinder and a pair of Craftsman 4-ton jack stands. Finally, Chris answers your letters in the Letterz segment, with an introduction to our new Chevy 350 small block engine for our upcoming Season 5 “Back From The Dead” engine rebuild series.

Music

This episode features music from COLDWEST. “Snakeskinner”, “Ignition”, and an original song for the Motorz Intro.

  5. Oh my god. You put coilovers on, but go with eibach??? They made their name in springs, not shocks. You could have spent that 1100 in many other, better components.
