If you were in San Diego for the recent Comic-Con, you may have seen this heavily modified F-150 rolling around town. What is it? A batmobile? A battruck? It’s called the “Crime Fighter Ford F-150 Edition”, and was designed by iconic Hollywood car designer George Barris along with his grandson, Jared.
They designed this F-150 to look like one of the original super hero cars (the famous batmobile) that George designed in 1966. It’s painted with a custom black with red stripes, with wings which were made from 18-gauge steel.
The aluminum grill accentuates the Crime Fighter F-150 nose with specially designed mesh with oval inserts that have rounded edges and a machine-milled billet, wrapped with a red aluminum piece.
