Chris Duke
Host & Executive Producer
How many times have you watched automotive how-to shows on cable TV and wondered how they make it look so easy, and where did they get all those expensive tools?
If you’re like most automotive enthusiasts, you don’t have any of those awesome tools, let alone a lift in your garage.
To Chris Duke, host of the web TV show, iTunes podcast, and TiVo program Motorz TV, keeping how-to installations real for enthusiasts became his calling. By showing the average Joe how to install products on his vehicle using common tools he has in his garage, anyone can walk away from an episode having the confidence to go out and buy that product they always wanted on their ride and install it themselves.
Duke gets his hands into the nuts and bolts of the install, showing you how to get the job done using simple tools, and the problems he encounters along the way. Whether it’s installing bolt-on performance modifications, wiring up electronics, or dressing up your ride for show, Motorz TV offers a real look at what lies beneath the installation instructions.
This may be Chris’ first time in front of the video camera, but he is no stranger to the automotive scene. Now with his third heavily modified pickup truck, Chris has over 300 print pages of editorial and photography under his belt while he was Senior Editor of Ford Truck World Magazine. He also frequently travels to cover major events such as SEMA and press events.
When not in front of a video camera playing with cars and trucks, Duke spends most of his time developing online communities and playing with new technologies. Truckblog is his largest creation over recent years, along with the Truck Hownd aftermarket product guide and the new Ford Truck Space. But not all things are trucks in his world, take Appmodo and RUNNER+, for example; a monstrous running community that is home to over 7,000 runners from more than 100 different countries.
Chris’ goal for Motorz TV is to keep it “real”, having a fun time installing products on vehicles like yours, using tools you probably already have in your garage. Think of the show like having a buddy over on the weekend to help you out and throw back a few cold ones, but this way you get to keep all the beer for yourself. What a great guy!

Bio:
In 2000 Chris Duke started his first automotive website called F-150 World. Little did he know that this would kick start his automotive career into high gear. Two years later that little F-150 website grew into Ford Truck World, which spawned a huge network of 15 automotive websites and 4 newsstand magazines as the CTO and an Editor at Enthusiast Publishing Services. Returning to his enthusiast roots in 2005, Duke formed X7 Media which launched Truckblog, Muscle Car Blog, and created a new powerful e-commerce website for STILLEN. Eager to try something completely new, Duke stepped away from the keyboard in 2008 and in front of the camera. An automotive DIY television show called Motorz TV was born, which shows viewers how to install aftermarket parts step-by-step using common tools in a garage setting. The show is broadcast on television to over 1 million viewers through i2TV and published to over 40 distribution partners including TiVo, iTunes, YouTube, SteetFire.net, and more.
