Episode Notes

In this 76th episode of Motorz, Chris takes a heavily used (and active) 2002 Chevy 1500 work truck from a local landscape maintenance company and performs a “Motorz Makeover” on it. In addition to replacing the rusty enclosed trailer with a brand new 6×10 Load Runner trailer from TrailersPlus, the entire truck sees a ton of upgrades from the interior to the exterior. Then when it’s all done, both the truck and trailer get a custom vehicle wrap from our friends at A.P.E. Wraps! There are over two dozen upgrades performed to this truck–too many to list here–so check out the huge list above for all the details!

In Letterz, Chris answers viewer mail, and in Partz, Chris is proud to introduce and be the first in the U.S. to demonstrate new power tools from 909 (Nine Zero Nine), available soon at Sears. The 909 TOUCH PRO 4Ah 12V Variable Speed Drill Driver and Impact Driver offers touch-sensitive controls never seen before in a cordless drill driver. He also talks about Flex-a-lite’s radiator with dual electric fans, and their direct-fit transmission cooler kit as well! Finally, that AutoTwirler engine stand that was used in previous episodes gets the spotlight too.

A special thanks to True Line Auto Center in San Diego, and to Chris Cordova for loaning his Chevy 1500 work truck to us.

As always, be sure to stick around to watch our out-takes at the very end during the credits!

  1. Right now i am so jealous thinking about improving my 04 Chevy Z71 Suburban using many parts from this episode.

  2. We are working hard to get a new episode out at least once a month, with new videos (smaller segments) posted at least once a week.

  3. All nice things to do to a truck but for a person actually having to pay retail for this stuff that would be an awful lot of money to throw at a 12 year old vehicle.

  4. True, but the episode shows you what you COULD do, and how easy to install this stuff is. That’s really the point :)

  5. Chris… were you a fan of the 2008 Knight Rider? I noticed the scanner noise when the Mustang appeared in the intro. If this is so… I approve!

  7. i could have fixed the headliner for 15 bucks with some of my redneck enginuity but i dont think it would have looked as nice though but it would have gotten the problem fixed

  8. That work truck wasn’t that beat up, I have an 01 and it has paint chipped off and the plastics much more dull. But good episode, I never see anyone work on 99-02 silverados.

  9. Hey Chris i noticed you painted or got a black Grille for the truck i was wandering if you bought it from where? or if you painted it i have been looking for one for my 99 Silverado

  10. Hi Chris. I was wondering if you can do a project on a 2014 or 07 Honda crv or a 08 toyota tundra and upload it thanks man. And I love your show and videos
