February 2012 was the toughest month we have had in terms of choices, because we received quite a few entries!
This month, we ultimately decided on Manuel Serrano of Salinas, CA and his 2010 Chevrolet Camaro SS!
Read on to check out his awesome ride, and an example of the cover you could win next month!
Like the previous vehicles that have been chosen for Ridez, Manny’s SS Camaro has an extensive mod list, but his car’s life began as a bone stock 2010 Cyber Grey with black interior 2SS/RS. Manny tells us that he’s had a lifelong dream of owning a 1969 Camaro ever since he was a kid. After seeing the movie Transformers, he fell in love with the new body style Camaro’s thanks to one of the main characters in the film – Bumblebee.
Once Chevrolet announced production of the new style, Manuel saved for a good down payment and placed his order. His dream became reality, when he accepted delivery of the 10,935th Camaro to roll off the production line!
Now, for the mods!
Check out this video of Manuel and his ride, from the 2011 SEMA Show in Las Vegas!
Starting on the exterior, Manuel’s Camaro sports a two tone paint job with blue flames, with a black top and CGM lower grille with jet stream blue metallic pin striping. He’s blacked out all the chrome, installed a CGM heritage grille with black center and topped off with a custom one-off carbon fiber bow tie. His hood has been replaced with a RK Sport Ram Air Carbon Fiber hood, Street Scene Side Skirts and a Seibon ST Carbon Fiber Trunk lid out back.
Slowing his beast to a crawl, Manuel’s got a ZR1 blue calipers with Stillen slotted and cross drilled rotors, Goodrich braided brake lines, and Hawk ceramic pads. It exhales through a modified Borla Type S cutback exhaust and the World’s first emissions legal Turbonetics turbo system powering his L99 engine.
Manuel’s Camaro rolls on black USW forged adrenaline wheels with jet stream blue metallic accents sized at 22×9 in the front and 22×10.5 out back, with Pirelli Pzero Nero tires sized 265/30ZR22 and 315/25ZR22 respectively.
But that’s not nearly the end of it, it’s quite an extensive list! In the future, Manuel has plans to do an LS3 conversion, upgrade his transmission, his rear end, tranny and oil coolers, and pick up a set of 18 inch track wheels!
