This topic was originally started on 12/18/08 in the old forums.

ArTi54N:

switches for offroad or whatever lights to the dash area of a ford f150 that has fog lights, preferably one that has the same complexity as the dash of the 2001 model year..

I still dont know how to take it off right, its really confusing to me.. you got to twist the light knob a certain kind of complex ways and then pull it off to get your dash off.. I couldnt figure it out and ended up breaking mine when I took off my dash to paint it... if I could just repeatedly see someone explain and show me how to do it right, Id be happy.. (aka keep hitting replay)

maybe you can work it into a show to explain how to do something else, just tell me if you do so I can watch it over and over.. email me to get my attention or something, please?

FireZapper:

I know it would be a little hard but, how about a gauge install. I mean in a diesel, EGT, boost, trans.

How about a little bit of custom work. Fiberglass speaker housings, gauge pods, maybe even customize a intake cover with a logo or something.

How about these.
sunroof
spray in bedliner
seat heaters
Do they make a unlock kit for the tailgate so it works with the factory remote?
How about some "cheaper" mods, I can't spend 800 on a complete stereo mod.

SPROCKET:

Do a detailing episode.

Roadwarrior:

Detailing tips would be awesome!

Dennis Medeiros:

I would like to see a HID light install, im dying to get a pair and want to install them myself but have no idea because of the wiring setup

Robbb:

I want to see a custom trunk latch pop-open button installed in the glove box
or
engine fuel rail covers installed
or
billet pedals installed
or
billet grille installed
or i could go on forever.. w00t!
damn i love this site / videos =D

oh yeah.. lowering springs... move that up to my #1 install request..

James:

Hey Chris,

I was thinking, what do most of us viewers use our trucks for except to make us look cool for the ladies? Hallin and towing stuff! So my suggestion is that you do a speciall were u put in a hitch and maybe some towing mirrors for the f 150!

Frank:

I have a 05 Ford F-150 and when ever you guys install something on your pickup I pickup tips, I would like to see you install a airaid cold air intake with a throttle body space as will.

Hope to see it in future show

thanks Frank

Kris Pye:

i wouldnt mind seein how to do window tint on the drivers and passanger side windows to prevent roll up along the edges. anybody have some tips for window tint? would it be easyer to just take the whole window outta the door or wht?

Robbb:

Short-Throw Shifter...
any types of billet accessories
painting brake calipers! FTW!! =D
installing a supercharger ;-D

Mike:

Skid plates, including tips on the right bolts to use - I learned the hard way that the stuff that comes with the kit isn't always the best
An onboard Air Compressor
Off-road lights on the roof
Sound deadening the vehicle
Convenience items - extra power outlets, power inverter, etc.

Some of this I have already installed in the vehicle, others I am gathering parts to perform the install -1300watt power inverter next, onboard air, then off-road lights. Just a bit nervous about pulling down the headliner to run the wires.

Mike:

Another idea I had today while I was trying to organize my garage, tools and extra pieces - a show about organizing the garage and the things that you should always have for any project, besides the fridge full of Corona.

John Hofmann:

How about a Baer brake kit or an EBC brake kit? This is something I would like to install on my truck, since I have bigger wheels and tires.

mk2403:

mustang 05-09 tps monitoring system for non stock wheels and reprogramming of the tpms system

John Hofmann:

bad ass struts/shocks on the mustang! Or, I would like to see how you keep your cars so damn clean! what products you use and how to use them.

thetarrman:

automatic transmission rebuild?

The episodes have to be basic quick installs so here are some easy ones:
spoiler delete on mustang
installing window tint, headlight/taillight tint
changing gas,brake, clutch pedals
fuel doors
window louvers
hood pins
nitrous
serpentine belts
control arms
performance chips and how to use tuners

Thanks Stangin02 -- and welcome to the forum!

The show is actually going to a half-hour format due to the fact that it's going to be on TV starting Feb 7th on MavTV!

But some of those could be combined into a single episode, or alone on their own.  Thanks for all the suggestions.  Keep 'em coming!

I'd like to see some installs for shocks/springs, or even clutches, but with a twist. Do them with a floor jack and jack stands, and hand tools. It's rare that most DIY'ers have a lift or access to one, and most beginners don't have air tools, which can ad an all new elements of difficulty. Also, far too many people fail to understand proper placement of jackstands and how to identify proper areas to put a jack on a car.

Hell when we did the MBRP exhaust "How-to" for "T-blog" waaaaaay back when Mike came over when I used to work at D.I., we did it with the truck sitting on the all 4 tires, and we did it fast, usually only having to use a Jack on Fords to lift it enough to clear the downpipe on a powerstorke.

It's quite ironic that you asked for this... Smiley

oooh, did I miss something?HuhHuh

I have a 1080p camcorder, might have to send in some install segments!!!!

Amazingly, to me, I ended up making this from stock to sweet in about 2 1/2-3 hours, and with the way video goes, that's about 11 minutes of tv time lol

Hey Mick, welcome to the site and thanks for watching the show!

Both of those installs are quite involved and I'd love to do both of them for the show. Thanks for the suggestions!

That would be cool.

Air intakes, we seen them all...lol.   Now, installing a Radix where dumping the fuel tank to replace the fuel pump, that my friend is a task. Heck even replacing the headers is a good gig when you have the steering shaft in the way Grin

Installing a set of 6" Ranchos is another cool gig.

Seen Nelson's 700hp avalanche yet?

I would love to see a way to modify one of the Amp Research Bedsteps to work on a 1997 F-150. There has got to be a way to make one work.

After having to do it today to my old F250, I think doing a good segment on how to properly FLUSH  a brake system would be GREAT. Most people fail to realize that the brake fluid breaks down after about 30-40k miles. It goes unnoticed, kind of like shocks and steering, due to how gradual the failure is. People get used to it as it's happening and never notice the difference, and bleeding the brakes when the new pads go on, just doesn't get the job done quite all the way.

It would also be nice to see a segment on changing the cylinders on a drum setup, even though NO modern cars really have it, a TON of people with the older cars may like to see it. I suck at it. I'll gladly give you an 800hp motor and hook up all your nitrous, and all that stuff, but when it comes to messing with drum brakes, I tend to be more inclined to go ahead and do a disc brake swap rather than replace a worn cylinder lol.

This is a very good suggestion as I too would like to see good how to on flushing a brake system.
