Episode Notes
In this episode, Chris shows you how to install new sub-frame connectors and both upper and lower control arms from BMR Suspension, a new electric fan and radiator combo from Flex-a-Lite, and both front and rear sway bars from Hellwig Products, on our newest project vehicle, a 1987 Ford Mustang GT. We’ve got a lot planned for this new project car, and we’re starting with suspension and under the hood. Later this season you’ll see us perform an engine swap on it! We gave it the name “Black Mamba” after one of our favorite movies, “Megamind”. Once the vehicle is finished on the show, it will return to black!
This episode features Olivia Korte as our Motorz Girl and also has our regular segments, Partz, and Letterz. In “Partz”, Chris talks about a new Craftsman ratcheting wrenches, SeatSavers from Covercraft, new Street Comp muscle car tires from Mickey Thompson, and the PerformanceParts.com website.
As always, be sure to stick around to watch our out-takes at the very end!
Music
This episode features an original Motorz theme song by Jeremy Pritchard.

Get craftsman to donate some air tools.
December 5th, 2012 at 6:37 pm
Those wrenches are awesome! Are they available in the UK?
December 5th, 2012 at 6:50 pm
We have all of Craftsman’s air tools, but we traditionally try to show the use of hand tools on the show since most home garages don’t have air tools. Thanks for watching!
December 5th, 2012 at 6:51 pm
Check out sears.com to see what their shipping rates might be to the UK! Thanks for the comment, and for watching!

December 5th, 2012 at 6:52 pm
We definitely didn’t stop! This one just took a lot longer than normal. We won’t let that happen again, unless we’re between seasons! Thanks for watching!
December 5th, 2012 at 9:23 pm
Another great episode Chris. I love those Mustangs…Ford messed up getting rid of those. I’d love to get my hands on an LX 5.0 Sedan.Too bad you did the fan upgrade before the motor work, would’ve like to see what kind of horsepower numbers you got from it.

January 7th, 2013 at 8:30 am
im looking to do an LS swap on an 88 camaro.. any advice??
January 14th, 2013 at 7:49 pm
You showed the basics at least, and for that its a good video. But those welds have NO penetration. I know you were trying to prevent burn through, but the weld at 7:14 is just a blob of melted wire with no strength whatsoever (even if its just a tac). You need more heat, and you need to learn where to focus it as well. Maybe its because you were trying to get a good camera shot while working… yeah thats it. :-)

could you recommend a radiator electric fan combination for a 1976 cj7 jeep with a gm th400 turbo transmission and 258 engine? Currently I have a 3 core radiator – my transmission line is connected to one of the cores. But this allows under 2″ between the engine and radiator. And I have 2.25″ of space between the grille and radiator.Hope to hear from you soon. :)
