Episode Notes
In this episode, Chris shows you how to order and install a custom Katzkin leather interior on a 2004 Honda Pilot SUV. Chris is no stranger to upholstery installs–in fact you can check out our previous episodes on how to install Katzkin leather on a F-150 and a Mustang! So grab your hog rings and a big bucket of popcorn, sit back, and enjoy while Chris does all the work! You’ll learn how to remove the factory upholstery and install a new custom Motorz-branded leather interior, step-by-step!
This episode features Olivia Korte as our Motorz Girl and also has our regular segments, Partz, and Letterz. In “Partz”, Chris talks about a complete Craftsman brake tool kit, ceramic headers and a cat-back exhaust kit from Bassani, retro-style window louvers from SilverHorse Racing, and we introduce you to the newest member of our crew, a pit bull named “Chance” who was adopted by the Olhausens through the “It’s The Pits” dog rescue organization. The incredibly handsome Chance appears in this episode, demonstrating the use of the Canine Cover from Covercraft!
As always, be sure to stick around to watch our out-takes at the very end!
Music
This episode features an original Motorz theme song by Jeremy Pritchard.

very nice installation, your hands have to be sore after dealing with all those clips and hog rigs
August 31st, 2012 at 12:31 pm
Thank you! As always, it’s a lot of labor but the payoff is great. Chris had help from Dillon, Jason, and Brian, too. There were a lot of seats to do!
August 31st, 2012 at 12:32 pm
You should get Olivia to do some of the work
August 31st, 2012 at 12:49 pm
Oh Come on, Not another katzkin video,Whats wrong with ya ?What happened to the 350? we need to drop this baby in something !
August 31st, 2012 at 12:58 pm
Gotta keep our sponsors happy, plus we did show some new stuff in this episode that we have never shown before. That 350 is still here, and we’ve got a few possibilities for it coming up in S06 (2013)!

Haven’t seen something like this here in germany, Chris…People normally go to a saddlery and get a custom job here…I checked the Katzkin website for a BMW E46 interior and 2595 bucks for this stuff looks kind of pricey, considering taht you’re having to do the job yourself. I also doubt that anybody but a trained upholsterer can get a tight finish…The seat doesn’t look good with that wrinkle at the shoulder @ 8:50Okay, sorry I’m german. We know good interiors :) Great video as always !
August 31st, 2012 at 3:04 pm
Thanks for watching, Guido. The wrinkle you mentioned is typical after the leather has been installed. It relaxes after a little while, especially in the heat. As for pricing, keep in mind those are direct prices you see. Local dealers will charge MUCH less so it’s always a good idea to check with them too!

Damn she’s gorgeous that is like my dream girl. More of her
August 31st, 2012 at 3:19 pm
Got it :) I think Katzkin will be very pleased with this installation video and I will always be a loyal viewer of your show, Chris. Take care !

You forgot the most important tool. I cooler full of beer. I can never work on a car with a cooler.
August 31st, 2012 at 4:16 pm
Good point! And with a long install like this one, it’s a definite requirement to have a cooler full of refreshments :)
August 31st, 2012 at 5:39 pm
bad finishing for the seats
August 31st, 2012 at 5:41 pm
What don’t you like about it? I’ve had the same kind of Katzkin leather on my truck for years and it’s held up great… and still looks new. Looks better and has held up better than the OEM leather, and I suspect it will be the same on this Pilot. They also have different kinds of leather you can get if this doesn’t strike you.

Understandable that you’re not running a charity & you need to promote their products as they are sponsoring a part of the show, But views more views off Youtube with ads shouldn’t they be more sufficient? Perhaps i’m not getting the full picture here :) :)

We’ve got more episodes coming soon, and another one coming before the end of this month. It just takes time, and it’s a lot of work producing a TV show with a limited production crew! Thanks for watching and hanging in there for new episodes!
