I’ve always wondered how to install a blower. Doesn’t look that difficult, really. Nice job.
November 18th, 2010 at 7:15 am
have any that fit on a 93 caddy?
November 18th, 2010 at 7:16 am
@fordtruck0 It really wasn’t… the most difficult part was adding the extra fuel pump, but hopefully this episode will help you out.
November 18th, 2010 at 7:17 am
@jsnyara Probably not. You can check the ProCharger (dot)com website or give them a call.
November 18th, 2010 at 7:33 am
Yay!
November 18th, 2010 at 9:30 am
Yes…. thank you for this vid, I’ve been wondering haha I’m going to install one on my truck one day…
November 18th, 2010 at 9:32 am
@AnythingWeThinkOf Thanks! I’d love to install one on my truck too one day :)
November 18th, 2010 at 10:08 am
what exactly is the difference between a supercharger and a turbocharger?
November 18th, 2010 at 10:25 am
@kmx14 As a german, I will try. ;) A Turbo gets his power(rotation) from the exhaust-gas, the supercharger gets it from the….you know…the string that makes your generator etc workin.. ;) both systems compress the air and takes it through an intercooler to the engine.
November 18th, 2010 at 11:47 am
That was awesome! I just wish they had the prices on their website…
November 18th, 2010 at 12:19 pm
Its funny becuase I don’t have a rear wheel drive, 6-8 cylinder American made car, but I still watch most of your videos. Your very good at explaining and keeped me interested in watching, I can’t look away or stop the video once i’ve started to watch it!
November 18th, 2010 at 12:41 pm
I bet this was a fun episode to film haha
November 18th, 2010 at 1:45 pm
y would some1 not love the whine of the charger
November 18th, 2010 at 2:50 pm
@asyoulikeitvideos Try sending them an e-mail or call them. I’m sure they’d be nice enough to tell you.
November 18th, 2010 at 2:56 pm
@kmx14 One is belt driven, the other uses exhaust pressure.
November 18th, 2010 at 3:06 pm
@kmx14 There is alot of differences between the two. They both work to do the same thing which is increase HP and Torque. The biggest difference is how they work. Superchargers are belt driven and hooked up to the engine as you see in the video. Turbochargers are hooked up to the exhaust system of the car.
November 18th, 2010 at 4:01 pm
@kmx14 well both supercharger and turbocharger come with a tiny gnome. except in a supercharger the gnome blows air into the intake; while in a turbo the gnome spins a tiny wheel called a turbine. of course the gnomes eat fuel that’s why the second fuel pump is added. hope this answers your question.
November 18th, 2010 at 4:23 pm
how bout a 93 miata with a ls3 in it?
November 18th, 2010 at 6:20 pm
@motorztv How come superchargers are really expensive and turbos are fairly cheap? A normal supercharger will set you back at least 6000 dollars while a Twin turbo kit costs around 1200 to 2000 dollars.
November 18th, 2010 at 6:24 pm
great power improve … from Subaru Impreza STi stats, you got maserati gran turismo S stats :)
November 18th, 2010 at 7:48 pm
@motorztv Chris they should’ve given you a freebie for showing their product on your show! :)
November 18th, 2010 at 8:04 pm
do you think it is a good idea to supercharged a 2008 v6 mustang?????????
November 18th, 2010 at 10:29 pm
@Terreos Haha yeah I’m sure they would, they seem cool. I’m just lazy!
November 18th, 2010 at 5:51 pm
Suggested retail price for a High Output Intercooled Supercharger System for the 2005-2010 4.6L 3V Mustang GT is $4,696, however, many of our dealers across the country typically sell them for less than MSRP. To find the name of your nearest ProCharger dealer, call our Customer Service Team at 913/338-2886, M-F, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM central time. Motorztv: shame, shame, shame… no burnout video… :)
November 19th, 2010 at 4:27 pm
If one looks at the graph carefully, the supercharger REDUCED the torque at low rpm range. That has to hurt driveability.
November 19th, 2010 at 9:32 am
Great episode. I agree with you about the hardest part looks like the added fuel pump. That concerns me. Did the instruction book cover this in detail? Pictures?
November 20th, 2010 at 2:01 am
A straight foward show, nothing dramatic, and plenty of info…flawless! And the gains on that supercharger are nice mane! Stay blessed…
November 20th, 2010 at 8:01 am
If you need a place to store that mustang I think I have some extra space in my garage. Your show looks like a lot of fun, well done.
November 20th, 2010 at 11:30 am
Is the Twin Screw Supercharger better than this one?
November 20th, 2010 at 6:57 pm
haha carb exemption within a few years… i like how he says it as fast as possible ^^
November 20th, 2010 at 7:55 pm

Why would you want less supercharger noise?
March 1st, 2011 at 12:30 pm
can you use lucas oil in the procharger?
March 1st, 2011 at 1:14 pm
@ccachella No, they recommend you use only their oil.
March 2nd, 2011 at 4:25 pm
just wondering, are you guys going to pick up a 11 mustang gt?
March 2nd, 2011 at 10:56 pm
@TheSolutionIAm No current plans, but you never know! We do have access to something similar (a 2010 or a 2011)
March 3rd, 2011 at 11:38 am
@motorztv awesome! look forward, to what happens, and i was just wondering, can u guess do a episode on how to install tail light and sidemarker tints?
March 7th, 2011 at 8:52 pm
Thanks for this Chris. Thanks to this vid, I’m fairly competent I can install a Magnuson MP90 kit in my 04 Mazda6S. 475bhp, here I come. :) Hoping for an end-of-the-year install.
March 7th, 2011 at 8:53 pm
@americansmark Good luck! Each kit is different, but at least now you have a good overview of what is involved!
April 13th, 2011 at 8:50 am
does this means that we can change the supercharger’s sound?
April 13th, 2011 at 8:52 am
@boy638 No, you can’t alter the sound.
April 23rd, 2011 at 9:33 pm
Was is the stock engine? Could you state the bolt ons?
April 23rd, 2011 at 9:35 pm
@TheHiraogluhasan Yes, it was a stock engine.
May 11th, 2011 at 12:35 pm
Chris, this must be one of the nicest Mustangs I’ve ever seen ! I love the bright orange colour and the sound: Oh baby ! I see quite a lot of these here in germany too, but none with such a cool supercharger and sound. Greets from your german-fan Guido
May 11th, 2011 at 12:39 pm
@TheGetawayer Thanks for all the kind words about Jason’s ride! It definitely gets noticed on the road! -Chris
May 15th, 2011 at 8:21 pm
any thoughts on adding a supercharger on the f150?
May 25th, 2011 at 12:38 pm
What would I have to do to my engine to put a supercharger on it? I have a 88 mustang lx 5.0. Anything major?
June 21st, 2011 at 11:18 pm
hold, wait, is that an automatic?
June 21st, 2011 at 11:23 pm
@sycotic51 No, it’s a manual transmission.
June 22nd, 2011 at 1:58 am

July 4th, 2011 at 2:35 pm

July 18th, 2011 at 1:23 am
@motorztv Thumbs up for manual transmissions :)
July 22nd, 2011 at 9:37 pm
I love my Procharger ! But my neighbors don’t :-) If you’ve ever heard a procharger in person you understand.
July 23rd, 2011 at 9:14 am

July 23rd, 2011 at 9:21 am
@ironaddict11 I still want to do anything to extreme to my Daily Driver, is this to extreme? I’m not going to be taking it to the strip or anything, just go fast :D

August 18th, 2011 at 9:54 pm

August 19th, 2011 at 9:01 am
@motorztv ohhh ok thx..
August 22nd, 2011 at 1:40 pm

@motorztv hi chirs i got qustion , is the roush supercharger completly diffrenet than the procharger ? or they are the same ? thx for the installiation tips!! sorry for my bad spelling ^^
August 24th, 2011 at 10:59 pm
They are different but essentially work the same way.
August 29th, 2011 at 5:32 am
I know my question has nothing to do with the Supercharger, but I noticed a yellow battery under the hood. Does that battery do anything special?
August 29th, 2011 at 9:10 am
@suddnstar It is an OPTIMA yellow-top battery.
August 29th, 2011 at 7:02 pm
@ironaddict11 the noise is music to my ears

September 10th, 2011 at 6:11 pm
@Creekside214 Depends on how much you press the pedal :) Generally speaking, you won’t. However you do have to use a high octane fuel.
September 11th, 2011 at 12:09 pm
does it make annoying whistle sound at idle when not touching the pedal?
September 11th, 2011 at 12:09 pm
does it make annoying whistle sound at idle when not touching the pedal?
September 11th, 2011 at 4:40 pm
@RandyMedion It sounds like a supercharger, but it’s not annoying. It is loader after installation than a few days/weeks later.
September 12th, 2011 at 8:36 pm
@coolguy10060 Yes
September 13th, 2011 at 3:04 pm
@coolguy10060 turbochargers have really no sound and it looks like one because its a centrifugal supercharger
September 15th, 2011 at 6:30 pm
@motorztv hi you say you need to use high octane fuel but one of my teachers said if you live in a place like Utah its not good to use high octane is that true and i also what to know do they make a centrifugal supercharger or procharger for a 93 integra with a b18a1 engine
September 15th, 2011 at 6:30 pm

September 23rd, 2011 at 6:44 pm
I laughed when the procharger engineer was talking about noise reduction… those things just whistle away idling, they have such a distinct sound hah.

December 20th, 2011 at 12:38 pm
how much experience does it take to be able to install one of these?
December 22nd, 2011 at 11:23 pm
hey Chris which supercharger would you recommend im thinking about getting one soon….(and no i dont have any vids of my mustang, just waiting for a supercharger and other things)-for those ppl that would look at my account and call me out as a liar-
January 8th, 2012 at 1:15 pm
@motorztv hello guys, did you need to change any hoses since its going to be more HP output compared to the stress the OEM hoses can hold
January 25th, 2012 at 1:28 pm
When this guy started soldering stuff he lost me. Anyway, I thought when you put on a supercharger you have to make sure your crankshaft, cams, and rods can handle the extra power.
January 30th, 2012 at 10:25 am
This is helpful… I need to brush up on my soldering skills.. haven’t done it since high school.
February 6th, 2012 at 12:28 pm
Good video with this one. Looks easy to install if you take your time and adds very good numbers to the dyno measurement. However, my concern is that a 65-75% gain was indicated by the company. I calculated a 47.2% RWHP gain and a 34.2% gain in torque. These are good numbers never the less, but they might want to lower their estimates a tad. A 65-75% indicated RWHP gain would put it at 490-519 RWHP which it did not. 437 RWHP is no walk in the park, but less than indicated or advertised.
February 8th, 2012 at 4:15 pm
u guys should build a toyota supra
February 12th, 2012 at 5:35 pm
hey chris what kind of rims is the mustang in??
February 12th, 2012 at 6:40 pm
@laurenceKJ Zinik
February 17th, 2012 at 10:26 pm
@motorztv Do they make them for an LS1 F body?
February 22nd, 2012 at 10:05 am
does the extra torque and horesepower add stress to the factory transmission? ive heard some vehicals need a complete tranny upgrade because the stock tranny isnt designed for the added torque?
February 23rd, 2012 at 5:22 pm
i got better mpg after my procharger install on my gto. good product but if you own one make sure the head unit doesnt leak oil since this problem is common with procharger. after having this issue worked out with procharger they just gave me a factory replacement for free for all of the hassles. after that no issues and im happy.
February 27th, 2012 at 3:54 pm
Is that your mustang??
February 27th, 2012 at 4:06 pm
@srtrcr It is the Associate Producers
February 29th, 2012 at 5:07 pm
I own a 2001 eclipse GT and i want to put a supercharger in it. anyone know of any kits?
March 2nd, 2012 at 7:22 am
why not just an electric blower? lol
March 3rd, 2012 at 5:10 am
140 hp increase? damn!
March 3rd, 2012 at 5:11 am
@inachu not enough pressure :P
March 3rd, 2012 at 5:16 am
@Chevyboy5700 well that depends. the mustang in the vid is now producing 437 hp. the most powerful engine that buy can buy from ford with the exact same transmission has 444hp. only the gt500 has a different tranny to the others, and i think only for performance. so the factory tranny on this particular vehicle is able to handle the additional power from the supercharger. but that may not alway be the case with other vehicles/extreme mods.
March 3rd, 2012 at 5:21 am
@Chevyboy5700 you rarely have to change the whole tranny system, but performance clutches and shift kit do come in handy.
March 5th, 2012 at 12:39 am
@RandyMedion obviously you arent a true supercharger fan if you dont like the whine it produces
March 6th, 2012 at 12:34 am
how much did this particular supercharger kit cost?
March 17th, 2012 at 2:47 am
how much that supercharger kit ?
March 19th, 2012 at 11:10 pm
@motorztv can a pro charger be installed on a stock 327
March 21st, 2012 at 10:49 am
im putting a procharger high output in to my 02 F150 :D
March 24th, 2012 at 4:21 am
How does the transmission and other drivetrain parts cope with the extra power?
March 24th, 2012 at 6:39 pm
Hello sir love the show I am new to cars and I love watching to learn but I was wandering do yall ever do show on like problems with cars like i have a ticking sound in my mustang and can’t figure out how to get rid of it I took it in redone the engine and changed my oil from the ford to mobil one and nothing any tips would be nice
March 26th, 2012 at 12:28 pm

March 26th, 2012 at 12:29 pm

March 26th, 2012 at 12:30 pm
You have a great show! Are there going to be any new Mustang videos coming up?
March 26th, 2012 at 12:34 pm
Yes, we are still working on our 08 GT and we’ve got a new project vehicle we’re starting to restore… an 87 GT!
March 26th, 2012 at 12:34 pm
BTW thanks for the compliment, and for watching!
March 26th, 2012 at 12:36 pm
That’s awesome! I have a 2007 Grabber Orange GT so these videos are definitely fun to watch. Unlike yours, I went with the Saleen Supercharger.

April 5th, 2012 at 10:49 pm
So what was the post install hp and torque rating u did not narrate it like u did with the pre install rating.
April 8th, 2012 at 11:25 am
hows this engine doing now? did u blow it up? :P
April 24th, 2012 at 1:32 am
It’s a daily driver, and we’ve experienced no issues with the kit since it was installed
April 25th, 2012 at 7:21 pm
does it use 91 octane or pump gas
April 25th, 2012 at 7:21 pm
does it use 91 octane or pump gas
April 28th, 2012 at 9:19 am
Not every engine is going to blow from compression rates.
May 1st, 2012 at 8:37 pm
91 Octane is Pump Gas. So is 93 Octane and E85. Race Gas (C16, Q16) and Methanol are not Pump Gar. This kit uses Pump Gas. I would get it without the Tuner and have someone Dyno Tune it for best results.

July 16th, 2012 at 10:42 pm
does the supercharger work with the upgraded ENGINE pulley installed in an earlier vid??
July 19th, 2012 at 1:19 pm
I saw that the blower needed “special oil” but I didnt see how the lines were hooked up. If it were plumbed into the cars regular oil system, wouldnt that dilute the oil, or would the whole system need this custom oil? Thanks,ps love the show
July 19th, 2012 at 1:22 pm
See at 7:25 it gets put into the blower. There are no lines, and it does not get connected to your vehicle’s oil lines.
July 25th, 2012 at 1:00 am
I just received my pro charger kit for my stock (engine) 04 GT. What would be a fair price for an experienced performance shop to install this kit? (the inter-cooler was included in the kit). Also I noticed yall installed an extra fuel pump. Is that a requirement for the heavier pound injectors?
July 25th, 2012 at 1:04 am
Thanks for watching and congrats on your kit! Since we installed it ourselves, it’s hard to say. Ask around and get quotes from at least 2 different shops. The extra capacity fuel pump was required for the supercharger. Did you not receive one with the kit? I can’t remember if it was a separate option or included. Might want to look into it.
July 26th, 2012 at 3:46 pm
Thanks for the info guys. LOL your probably right I did probably have a fuel pump in the kit. I opened that big old box and was overwhelmed. I did check the pulley on the supercharger but everything looked ok.

ls1 f body kits are shit, belts always slip, charger is too small for future upgrades, plastic junction box for the boost hoses is just piss poor quality. must admit it did make some good power though.

You guys skipped anything on reassembling the PCV lines. Does the kit include PCV breathers or anything? I know you shouldn’t run boost from the intake into the PCV and crank case lines! :o

September 27th, 2012 at 8:46 am
How hard would it be to retrofit this supercharger kit to a Crown Victoria?
September 30th, 2012 at 9:24 pm
Can i ask something u do not need to open engine and change valves in cilinders ? Or somethig, because someone said to me it will burn ur motor if u install the supercharger with no motor change valves. ME is confused i am from europe i got ford mustang 1994v6 155hp.I need explaination ! :D
October 1st, 2012 at 1:28 pm
That is a good question and i figured id jump in and help. Upgrading the internals of an engine is a must when it comes to forced induction, however, when it comes to boost (as you heard him say in the video – aka PSI), the higher it is the more strain it will put on the engine. Which is why it is important to upgrade. But with low boost it is not a major issue.
October 1st, 2012 at 3:33 pm
what is low bost anyway ? U mean if i got 150 hp and after install procharger and i get 280 hp is this low bost ? Or i must change something in machine?!!?
October 1st, 2012 at 5:36 pm
Like for instance on vehicles that are already equpped with forced induction from the factory are set at low boost which would roughly be in a range from 5-12psi, meaning the air pressure between the compressor (either supercharger, centrifugal supercharger, or turbo charger) and the intake valves is pressurized, with the throttle open that is. But seeing that your vehicle is a 94 and the fact that i do not know the psi rating these prochargers produce, it would be reassuring to upgrade.
October 12th, 2012 at 8:39 pm
It would be pretty nice if you guys could do a procharger supercharger installation video of a 5.0 fox boddy mustangs!!!
October 16th, 2012 at 2:30 am

I like Craftsman Tools, but in order to keep them from just growing legs and walking off, whenever anyone is around I always pull out my el-cheapo harbor freight tools, so that if they wander off I don’t feel so bad. Craftsman is always coming out with great tools I don’t know how you guys manage to keep up with it.

I have a 4.3L V6 GMC Sierra regular cab truck, It will cost me at least 3,000 dollars to get a 6.0L V8 into my truck since its a V6 manual transmission so different parts are required (including harness, installation, and ect..) Do you recommend saving the money for a pro-charger that will fit my truck or just getting an engine swap? I don’t have much upgrades on my truck yet, just exhaust, cat-less and tune, I have not done much more because I’m not sure if I should keep this engine.
