Yesterday I put out a call for someone to help manage the growing Motorz forums area. I was overwhelmed with the immediate response! I couldn’t believe so many great candidates stepped forward! A few of them stood out, and they are now in charge of the forums!

Here they are, with a brief bio — these guys are true enthusiasts and well experienced when it comes to online forums! The crew page has also been updated!

Jim Karnes, Forums Manager

I have known Jim for about 10 years now, all the way back to my own first Ford truck site. In fact, that’s how we met–through a Ford-sponsored meet in Dearborn, MI. They flew Jim and I out to meet with other Ford truck enthusiast Webmasters and talk with Ford Motor Company directly! It was a lot of fun, and we’ve never lost touch. I was blown away when he stepped up and offered to help out with the forums area. After all, he’s busy with his own automotive enthusiast sites, a job, and family. I couldn’t be happier!

Jim has spent his entire life in some form or fashion building, tweaking, and racing cars and trucks. Back in 2000 he created two automotive websites based on Ford and Chevy trucks that are still alive and kicking today with great success. He admits that he has a hard time at keeping anything stock! On top of all that, he has been in the fire service for 15 years now where he serves as a District Fire Chief in a fast growing town just north of Austin, Texas.

Trent Morgan, Forums Moderator

Trent has also been following my projects through the years and when I made the announcement, he also jumped at the opportunity to help. Like us, Trent has a serious addiction to cars and computers.  He has been managing and working with forums for about 5 years.  He is currently a moderator at a Ford Ranger forum and a member on dozens of other websites.  He’s been a gear-head his entire life, loves everything that has a motor and four wheels, and has a habit of never being able to leave something stock! He loves the outdoors and loves to go four wheeling and exploring new places. I think Trent will be great to have around not to just help manage the forums, but answer questions from our members.
